The 7/7 bombers possibly patsies?

After 9/11, the US and Britain have several times been targeted by extremist Muslim terrorists determined to undermine western democracy. And every time this has happened the government has stepped in to protect its citizens against these immense threats to our freedoms... by further restricting our freedoms...but at least they make us feel like we are safe in the hands of the government.

A few days ago, we learned about a terror plot in which four men planned to blow up a Jewish temple and shoot down military planes. Luckily, the FBI had been surveying them for a year and could stop them from carrying out their evil plans. But it took them a whole year to get them to buy the fake weapons and get them charged for the terror plot, so they didn't really seem too eager to carry out their plot, did they? But that they managed to stop these men proves to us all that the measures taken to fight domestic terrorists are fruitful and necessary to our safety, right?

The story bares a strong resemblance to the one in which four men planned to bomb the Sears tower, covered by Jon Stewart in the segment below.

After watching this you question if the terrorist group had any clue of what they were doing or if they were just pawns in a game to make police state measures seem legitimate.

Below is the first part of a very interesting documentary concerning the 7/7 bombings. Once again, it doesn't really seem like the terrorists really knew what they were doing. Why buy a two-way ticket if you were planning to blow yourself up on the underground for example?

Recently, I came across this article covering the the story of five British Muslim men who were approached by the MI5 and then blackmailed in order to join the MI5 as informants.

Is it possible that the domestic terrorists on these three occasions had been tricked? Did the MI5 need to find patsies to carry out attacks?

Who's innocent and who's guilty in these stories?
